This Thursday, October 23rd, ADPR 3150 welcomes the team (that includes 3 UGA alums) from Max2O--but all are welcome to attend.
The session will commence at 6:00 p.m. in room 248 of the SLC. The topic will be:
“10 Cool Things We’ve Learned in 20 years” -- Why didn’t somebody tell US this? --

Tom Matte
President and CEO
"Van Gogh’s masterpiece, "Starry Night," inspired Tom to be creative and enter
the communications industry. A daring individual by nature who wanted to be the next Evel Knievel, Tom is a founder and partner of MAX Productions, now Max2o. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications. At Max2o Tom contributes to the vision and direction of projects, as well as the development of new business contacts."
Rob Marbury
Chief Creative Director
"Rob Marbury is a founding partner of Max2o. He earned an ABJ from the University of Georgia with a major in Advertising and a minor in Graphic Design. Before starting Max2o in 1992, he served as the Art Director for Peachtree Advertising, and a partner at Art’oons. Rob’s responsibilities at Max2o include the development of creative strategies and concepts, the production of broadcast projects and the management of the studio.
Rob believes, “If you can make somebody laugh or smile, you make a connection and they remember you.” Campaigns that he has directed for Max2o have won many awards based on a unique blend of humor or “human appeal” with strategic messaging, all culminating in RESULTS for Max2o clients."
Jim Benson
Art Director
"According to Jim, "there is a difference between interest and commitment." He
believes that if you are interested in something, you do it when it is convenient;
but if you are committed to something, you expect no excuses, only results. This applies to all aspects of Jim’s life.
Jim is a University of Georgia graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design, and has spent time teaching at the Portfolio Center. When not working at Max2o, Jim enjoys playing basketball, golf, and figuring out which home improvement project to do next."
Shelly Emanuel
Account Executive
"Shelly graduated from Mercer University's College of Liberal Arts in 2006 with a
double major in Communications and Theater Arts, and Spanish, as well as a minor in Business. Inspired by her parent's dedication to journalism and advertising, Shelly found her way into the field, joining Max2o in January of 2007 immediately following college. In addition to being an Account Executive, Shelly is also responsible for Web site and Search Engine Optimization strategies at Max2o. Through constant analysis and interpretation of data, she is able to provide information on daily web site traffic and determine responsive strategies for Max2o and our clients."
