Judy Wicks Inducted into PRSA Georgia's Order of the Phoenix

Judy DeRango Wicks, vice president for Communications Business Media and Executive Visibility for Fiserv, will be inducted into PRSA|Georgia’s Order of the Phoenix on Nov. 8th. Grady College held a reception in her honor last week to recognize her efforts, as the Order of the Phoenix is the GA-PRSA chapter’s lifetime achievement award and its highest individual honor, and the GA PR Hall of Fame is housed at UGA's Grady College. 

"Judy Wicks is a top performer among Atlanta's most accomplished public relations professionals," said E. Culpepper (Cully) Clark, Dean of Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. "She does honor to the Phoenix Award, which already boasts a proud list of past recipients. Her work is an inspiration for our students."

For the past 12 years Wicks has led communications for CheckFree and Fiserv, which acquired CheckFree in 2007. Fiserv, Inc. is a global provider of information management and electronic commerce systems for the financial services industry. Campaigns she has led have earned two Silver Anvil awards from PRSA, and two national Awards of Distinction in the Consumer Technology category. Prior to her work at Fiserv/CheckFree, Wicks was Vice President of Ketchum Crescent and she joined Ketchum Atlanta in 1989 as Senior Account Executive on Lanier Worldwide. Wicks began her career in Florida with Young & Rubicam, Orlando, and Bitner Public Relations, Fort Lauderdale.
