Former ad grad Meg Hearon Weidner (1998) has had her first film accepted at the Dixie Film Festival. She wrote, directed and stars in this short film, "You're Too."
Meagn writes "You're Too focuses on Mandy's experiences of being rejected on the basis of being too this or too that. Everyone has encountered some form of rejection and in the end, it is how you choose to embrace and see yourself. My film has been accepted into the Women's International Film Festival in Miami, FL, Austin's Women Film, Literary and Music Festival in Texas, won the Best Short, No Budget Award at the Broad Humor Film Festival in Venice Beach, CA, and now she is coming home to my GA roots to promote my film at the Dixie Film Festival."
She is hoping that you, your friends and colleagues will come support You're Too Saturday, October 4th at the Carmike Theater at 5:15 p.m. It is showing in a block of other short films, all promising to be equally entertaining.
