Advertising students impress Spanx with brand campaign

Advertising students in this summer's campaigns course gained real-world experience developing a 360 campaign to raise awareness for Spanx.

Students visited Spanx headquarters (Atlanta) in July to present their plans to the international shapewear brand. They worked under the direction of AdPR Senior Lecturer Dr. Jennifer Griffith.

The students, divided into two teams, Pickled Media and Red Ladder, shared their research and ideas with Spanx’s Sean Salter (VP of Marketing and Direct), Sally Mundell (Director, Direct to Consumer), and Melissa Pappion (Online Marketing Manager)Dr. Griffith said that during the meeting: 
"Melissa Pappion praised the students’ understanding of the Spanx brand and their suggestions for creative and media." 
As Dr. Griffith also mentioned, the Online Marketing Manager also "took some nice pictures of the Grady gang posing in Spanx’s beautiful and whimsical Buckhead offices.”
