Congratulations to advertising major Ashley Delventura, who was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society in fall 2013.
Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest and most widely-known academic honorary society. Founded in 1776 at the College of William and May, Phi Beta Kappa celebrates and advocates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. Its campus chapters invite for induction the most outstanding arts and sciences students at America’s leading colleges and universities. The Society sponsor activities to advance these studies– the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences– in high education and in society at large.
“I'm really honored to have been elected to join such an impressive community,” says Delventura.
“Joining Phi Beta Kappa is like the culmination of my time at Grady, and I look forward to being part of it for years to come. “
The initiation ceremony was held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 in the UGA Chapel.
